"The court will find me not responsible and you tacky."
Oh, Marty, you little bitch. He has a point, though - there are gay robbers, so there
should be gay cops. This will be the first of several appearances for Marty, who has stolen
another purse and catfights with his victim while the crazy bomber everyone's been searching for
plants one under Detective Wilson's desk.
Fish is wrestling with self-doubt. Feeling old and useless, he threatens to quit
rather than ride a desk, as he will in pretty much every epiosde from now on -
in between bathroom breaks. Barney lays in to the squad for giving Fish so much
hell about his age, so they overcompensate, serving only to drive him further up the wall..
When the bomb is finally discovered (in the briefcase Marty steals when Arnold Ripner
bails him out - yes, THAT Arnold Ripner), the quick-thinking Philip K. Fish locks it
in the safe with the petty cash.
The day is saved and Fish takes a nap on Barney's couch.
