The Big Chief

Gathered together from the cosmic reaches of the universe, here in this great Hall of Justice, are the most powerful forces of good ever assembled.

Of course, they are subject to availability. In the midst of global catastophe, should the Superfriends be unreachable, you're sure to find at least one of the less appreciated defenders of mankind hanging out on a street corner, trying to scrounge up enough change for coffee.

Poor dejected Apache Chief saves earth from a deadly fireball, only to be abandonned by an ungrateful crowd. Deciding to reward himself with a cup of coffee, it spills on his lap and spawns a copycat lawsuit à la 1992's Liebek v. McDonalds.

This is Jenn's favorite ep. I'm a huge fan of the Superfriends, the big Chief in particular. To refresh your memory, Apache Chief was an oft used character and before he's relegated to "Who the f*ck was Apache Chief?", let's not forget who saved the JLA's ass in "Superfriends, Rest In Peace"

Back Off! I'll make you fun sized!

The name is SUPER VOLT.

Fine points in this episode are the inclusion of Birdman's old rival Dr. Reducto, a mad man who once threatened to shrink the USA off the map and a fiery oration by superfriend Black Vulcan (now demanding to be called Super Volt), who angrily maintains his race was a factor in his limited popularity.

OPH's favorite quote: What kind of stinking superhero loses his superpowers to a cup of coffee in the crotch? (Dr. Reducto)

Jenn's favorite quote: Sorry, Chief, no credit cards. Seems some IDIOT ripped our telephone pole out of the ground. (Javalux Coffee Shop Cashier)
