Dragonswing II:
  • Production Number 187576
  • Original Air Date: November 9, 1994
  • When he is kidnapped, a bizarro-world Dalai Lama thinks it is a hoot to give Kwai Chang Caine's name to his captors so they can kidnap Caine, too. Pita recuits old friends and new to form a dragonswing to rescue both his father and the freakazoid Dalai Lama in this completely disconnected story involving an irrelevant assassination attempt at an ambassadorial party, a James Bond wannabee, a Cynthia Rothrock wannabee, a megawealthy but elusive industrialist, a radical militant Chinese paramilitary group and the storming of a castle. (And it's not even a two-parter <G>)

Good-bye, Ariel: Sadly, this is Lauren Piech's final appearance as Ariel...because there really isn't room for two homeless waifs in the show and Calista Carradine apparently has nepotism seniority on her side. <G>

Almost interesting facts: Mark W. Conklin makes his fourth appearance as the strangely-likeable good guy/bad guy Chan. He was previously seen in "Initiation" (the pilot), "Challenge," and "Tournament". James Hong returns in the fourth season episode "The Phoenix" as the Alternate-Universe Dalai Lama.
