Original Air Date: July 26, 1995
When a piece of exploding bread destroys the hotel room where federally-protected witness Graham Corrigan is being held, Capt. Simms orders Pita to take the man out of federal custody and go to ground until Corrigan's testimony is needed at the trial of a mob boss. Pita decides to hide out at the Blaisdell's cabin by the lake, and his foster sister Carolyn helpfully calls the precinct house to leave detailed directions to the cabin with the murderer.
Blooper Alerts: Caine refers to the town as Hollingworth; Graham Corrigan refers to it as Hollingsworth. The male guest stars don't seem to be able to get the names of the female guest characters straight without some very noticeable fumbling around.
Not a bad guest star at all! Mob boss Mike Diamond is played by Barry Morse, Lieutenant Philip Gerard from "The Fugitive." (I mean the 1963 TV series, young 'uns, not the movie <G>)
Stop, thief!! In the Holling(s)worth Library where Caine meets "Anne Carter Pendleton," he is carrying a book under one arm. When they leave together, "Anne Carter Pendleton" very properly checks her book out...and Caine does not, heh heh.
Episode Highlight: The closing credits.
Episode Lowlight: Any scene with "Anne Carter Pendelton" in it.
