Original Air Date: February 6, 1995
Pita takes a rare (yeah, right) day off to be with his father and spends it alternating between the total boredom of tea with the Ancient and Caine, and the terror of constant ambushes by orange-and-black-clad attackers everywhere they go. Many of the characters from "May I Talk With You" return.
May I Jump With You: It is a little-known fact that one of the flashbacks from "May I Ride With You" has been radically altered for inclusion in this episode!!! Go back and watch "May I Ride With You" and see what I mean: Karen the Jumper (Natalie Radford) tells Caine, "Spare me the don't-jump speech." Caine replies, "Perhaps you have a reason to jump." Although in this present, heavily-edited version she gives Caine some mumbo-jumbo about having her child taken away from her, in the original her line was: "I certainly do have a good reason to jump! I've seen the script for the NEXT 'May I' episode!" Caine ponders this for a moment and then answers, "I, too, have seen this script. May I jump with you?" (Okay, maybe not. <G>)
Episode Highlights: Brilliant comic timing between Caine, the Ancient and Pita in their scenes together at the outdoor restaurant and the mushroom garden.
