Original Air Date: February 15, 1995
When Caine escorts Emperor Sing Ling to China to take his final test of
readiness for emperorhood, the two are accompanied by Pita, who
obviously suspects that Caine is about to make another break for it and
wants to keep an eye on him. Ernie Reyes, Jr. returns as the young Emperor Sing Ling.
Major episode controversy: Does Pita have tube socks stuffed in his pants when he goes to China, and if so, why couldn't he just pack a bag like everyone else?
See the ep, read the poem! Please visit the Poetry Corner in Old Ping Hai's Basement and read "Ode to My Tube Socks" by cpfujunkie@yahoo.com ... then vote and help us resolve this controversial issue!
Almost interesting facts: Ernie Reyes, Jr. actually knows kung fu, unlike some other people in the show. Son of Ernie Reyes, Sr., the martial arts legend, Ernie Jr. started winning adult-level martial arts tournaments when he was 8 years old!
Episode Highlight: Caine speaks two NEW words of Chinese..."ni hao," which is Manadarin for "nay ho."
Episode Lowlight: Undercover secret agent for the People's Republic of China stone-washes laundry while talking on her cell phone in the middle of a village consisting of nothing but straw huts.
A little subtitling HERE wouldn't hurt... After being captured by agents of the PRC, the Ancient selflessly calls out to Sing Ling to go find himself a hooker. (Anyway, that's sure what it sounds like he said. Hey, if they're not going to subtitle the Ancient's lines, we get to just make stuff up. <G>)
